If you’re considering hosting a holiday shindig, wedding, birthday, launch party, corporate meeting, or any other type of soiree near downtown Atlanta, look no further than the LOFT at Castleberry Hill. Uniquely situated minutes from the city’s epicenter of urban, cultural, arts, and sports venues, this chic, loft inspired private event facility is a hidden treasure among the often drab and traditional interiors you’ll find at local hotels and bars.
To kick-off their highly anticipated events in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW), in partnership with the Black Women’s Health Imperative, held a community forum entitled Getting to the Root: Breast Cancer Disparities in Atlanta on October 10, 2012 at Morehouse School of Medicine. The goal of the forum was to continue the ongoing dialogue around breast cancer treatments, health legislation, and prevention.
A breast cancer survivor herself, CBS Atlanta News anchor JaQuitta Williams served as the MC for the forum, which included a panel discussion and lectures featuring notable health professionals and cancer survivors as well as a soul stirring performance by singer, songwriter and pianist Avery*Sunshine.
Fall is the time of year when high school seniors rejoice in knowing their time as a kid is rapidly coming to an end and the next phase of life is just around the corner. What better way to celebrate all that you’ve accomplished than by capturing this moment with some fly photos. Class of 2013, it’s all about you! Check out Ms. Akina’s senior portraits recently shot at the picturesque Stone Mountain Park and our studio. She graced the camera with her preppy equestrian style, flowing locks, and lovely smile.
I know, taking senior portraits is just an excuse to dress up and look like a million bucks. But hey, what’s wrong with that?
Congratulations to you and your family Akina, you rock!
